Power Bi Gateway Standard Vs Personal

How Do I Configure Power Bi Gateway?
There are two types of Power BI gateways – on-premises and cloud.
On-premises Power BI gateway is installed inside your network firewall, allowing you to keep your data secure. Cloud Power BI gateway is hosted by Microsoft and doesn’t require any installation.
Both types of gateways can be used to schedule refresh for your datasets. However, only on-premises gateways can be used to schedule incremental refresh. To configure an on-premises Power BI gateway, you need to download and install it first.
Then, open the Admin Center and sign in with your administrator account. Go to Settings > Manage Gateways and select Add Gateway. Enter a name for your gateway and select On-Premises from the dropdown menu.
Click Next. On the next page, enter the name or IP address of the computer where you installed the gateway followed by the port number (default is 5023). Select Use Windows Authentication (integrated security) if you want to use Single Sign-On (SSO).
Otherwise, leave it unchecked and enter a username and password that have access to your data source(s). Click Test Connection to make sure everything is working properly then click Next when you’re ready to continue. The next page allows you to select which data sources this gateway will have access to.
By default, all data sources are selected but you can uncheck any that you don’t want included. Once you’ve made your selections, click Next again. now need assign users who will be able use this gateway .
Users can be assigned one of three roles: Administrator, Publisher, or Consumer . Administrators have full control over gateways while Publishers can create reports using data from selected data sources . Consumers can view published reports but not edit them in any way . To add a user , click Add User on the final page of the configuration process then enter their email address .
How Do You Use a Gateway in Power Bi?
